More than 120,000 people descended upon Los Angeles for USC’s 2015 Homecoming event on November 7. Trojan fans from all corners of the world came to enjoy the clear, gorgeous southern California weather and to take the URB-E foldable electric scooter for a spin. Culminating with a kick-off event at 7:30, current students, alumni, and USC supporters spent the afternoon taking advantage of URB-E test rides, offering welcome feedback. With CEO Peter Lee and Customer Service Experience Manager Daniel Seman front and center, the URB-E team met with USC student brand ambassadors and was mobbed with curious onlookers eager to try out their product, learn more about its zero-emission design (a real coup for any Californian), and put in orders for a scooter of their own. “You guys are going to revolutionize the world,” exclaimed at least one of the hundreds of demo riders. Complete with special USC custom inserts, the URB-E elicited numerous accolades from environmentally conscious Trojans looking to find a greener commute. “How did you think of this amazing idea?!” one test driver enthused as he admired the URB-E’s lightweight, compact, foldable design and reveled at the efficiency of its 250W brushless motor. “I’m buying two tomorrow.” It’s safe to say that URB-E’s presence at the USC homecoming was a runaway success with commuters of all kinds.
