URB-E Employee Spotlight: Shant Fernezlian
Shant is the last line of defense for an URB-E trying to get into the wild. When an URB-E hits the streets, it's ready to carry a rider 20 miles at 15 MPH, and Shant is integral in assuring that the URB-E carries every rider safely and securely to their destination. He's been doing an amazing job for almost a year now, and we're thrilled to present an URB-E employee spotlight with the guy who waves goodbye to your electric vehicle on its way out the door.
How Long Have You Been with URB-E?
I have been with URB-E for 10 months now.
Tell us a little bit about what you do at URB-E
I head up the quality control department. I make sure every unit that leaves the doors at the production facility passes our rigorous inspection sheet. I also help the team in other tasks that need to get done throughout the day: shipping and packaging accessories among other things.
What's the best part of your job?
The best part of my job is being able to put my stamp on a product that I love and believe in. It is also great working with a team who feels the same way.
What's your favorite URB-E moment?
There is not one set in stone, but if I had to name one it would be our first Santa Monica ride. Going out to the coast with a team of equal minded, hungry professionals showed me that all our eclectic personalities is what allows our team to function the way it does.
What famous person do you think would love an URB-E, and why?
It would have to be Kobe Bryant, because the way we feel about our product and how we champion our efforts to constantly push the product to a better point is similar to how Kobe put in work to take his career to where it went. He never took a day off and we won't either.
What do you enjoy doing when you're not at work?
I enjoy a few things when I'm not at work, mostly outdoor activities. I've been fishing since I was a kid and I still do to this day. Aside from fishing, I enjoy playing frisbee golf and getting creative in the pottery studio building creative and both functional and non-functional pieces.
Shant and the rest of the URB-E team can be found working tirelessly in Pasadena, and you can come visit us at 54 W Green Street in Pasadena or give the team a call at today to schedule a test ride or get a tour of the production facility!
